#TLDR So what other management methods you guys are using to make the whole thing less confusing / easier to deal with? Write down all the shortcuts and short manual / notes.īeen a long while since I last used Steam Workshop, is there any update to it that makes management easier at all? Last I know it just list subscribed mod without any categories at all. I am thinking of doing the same way I did for Skyrim - a huge Spreadsheet listing and categorizing mods, so I know what I have, link to the mod page for easy unsub if needed. Last few times I tried to get back into the game, the amount of mods is giving me problems - can't remember what I downloaded thus can't use, find what I need, or how to activate that mod functionalities, etc. As a control freak however, mod management is one big headache. With the new Industrial expansion, which is awesome, makes me really excited maybe want to play again. I'm really not a big fan of Steam.Ĭoming from other mod communities such as Skyrim modding, the usage of Steam Workshop is generally not advisable due to multitude of reasons. See other people's amazing work makes me think: "omg so awesome but so much work & creativity needed T_T"Ģ, mod management issue. Haven't touched C:S for really really long time, part of the issue is definitely the lack of motivation to play the game due to.ġ, I'm stupid.
